Default suprisingly challenging dumbbell exercise

I added the Dumbbell Turkish Get-up to my routine and it was really challenging.

Anyone else do this exercise, what weight do you use? I'm currently using 25 lbs for it.

what body part does it really hit?

along the lines you can find many such ancient (more so indian origin) exercises ... very unorthodox...and quite humbling in terms of weights lifted but are they really any good?

i mean what really is the point in lifting weight (heavy/light) in awkward patterns or ways?

Kinda what I was thinking... it seems like it would work the shoulder most, so why not just do presses? Considering the weight you can lift like that is way too small to really work your legs or back...

i'm using it as a compound "shock" exercise, an accessory.
