I'm trying out the bulking workout posted here.
http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/bulki...t%20levlel.pdf On page 4 it says to do declines then decline flys, not sure if that means flys after each set of decline barbells, or just one set of flys after all the barbell sets? Also, wondering what rests are recommend between sets. Some of the exersizes have recommendations of no rests ,but for the others, wonder what seems to work best? BTW, I started out doing 5x3x1 about 2 years ago, then swithched to stronglifts 5x5 about 8 months ago. Some decent results, but now looking to get to the next level (whichs as a 42 year old, is a challenge!). thanks Hunter |

I think you meant flat bench dumbbell flys. In either case, do the set of flys immediately after your LAST set of bench presses. I'm doing this program right now. It's working out really well, actually. In terms of rest, I think with your rep range under 10 and as long as you're going to failure on each set, you should be resting 2 minutes at least between sets. On some of the other exercises where you do 12 reps, you could get away with under 2 minutes, but I wouldn't. Take your time. I like to walk around the gym and get some water from the fountain to keep the blood flowing between sets, then do a quick stretch.
