If you can make your shoulder not click. only cause i am saying. i have had a couple of shoulder wounds and they begun out with just banging but finally turned into pain. just be very careful with it and confirm you are not hurting it.

Iíd advise you to seek professional help. It may be trivial now but it could by early signs of something more series.

My shoulder problem started off as painless clicking which I ignored for years before the pain set in. At first the pain was only in the gym but eventually it would stay with me outside the gym as well.

I had keyhole surgery on my right shoulder in 2009 to alleviate a compression (they shave the bone back and even give you a DVD of the camera pov

My problem was caused (mostly) by an imbalance in my rear deltoids and scapula muscles, which according to my surgeon is pretty common. He also told me that the surgery was to correct the symptoms and that I needed to address the imbalance, which of course I didnít so now Iím back to square one.

Shoulder injuries are very common to pretty much anyone who practises any sport that involves using the shoulders Ė comes with the territory. Itís the price we pay for having such a flexible joint.

I had the same issue myself. At first it was just a minor pain, eventually it got worse. The day I knew I was in trouble was when I went to warm up my shoulders with 20lb dumbells and I felt shooting pain up my elbows!! I waited a couple of weeks thinking it would get better and it didn't. After multiple trips to the Orthopaedic specialist and multiple tests (including MRI), nothing conclusive was found. It took about six months for the surgeon to agree to go in there and scope it out. They found a bone spur which they shaved off. After 6 months of physical therapy, I was back to lifting and now I am back at my max on the bench press. One thing that may have contributed to this was I had a habit of rolling my shoulders at the top of my reps on the bench press. I used to think this was a good thing since I was maximizing ROM. Thankfully a trainer who was spotting me one day noticed it and warned me about it.

I agree with Hardcory. As long as there is no pain you be fine. Most clicking or joint cracking are caused by air pockets in the joint which are no cause for alarm.

I would advise you to go and get it checked out by a healthcare professional - either Chiropractors or Orthopedics who specialized in biomechanic/sports.

Such noises should not go unnoticed, they indicate either tight muscle (muscle(s) that are being facilitated or inhibited and as result not working in correct conjunction with other muscles) or joint displacement (notice I did not say dislocation, which is not the same) or both.

I would guess that it's your subscapularis muscle that is inhibited that's making your humerous head to translate superiorly instead of rotating in glenoid fossa as it should be. That very well might be what's causing the problem.

Keep in mind that not all Chirorpactors/orthopedics are knowledgeable in appendicular joints. I would either advise to seek Chiropractors with DACSP (diplomates in sports) or those certified in A.R.T.
