*I know this is probably unamerican but I hate bench pressing. It is such a stupid exercise and if it was not for powerlifting I would not do it. I hate it because it is a stupid exercise and I barely have made any real progress on it and it ends up hurting my shoulder. If I forget to take Ibuprofen before I bench like today it bothers me. Ok my rant is over and one day I will bench 400 raw.

Not unamerican at all. If there is one exercise that causes more pain than any other it is the bench for me. And that is even with trying my best to use proper powerlifting form, staying really tight and only going heavy once a week.

I feel your pain.
