So, back at it again gonna start fresh with a new thread. Currently running 5x5, probably smolov next. I plan on sticking to powerlifting for a good while now, hopefully enter a comp soon. As of now my maxes are something liek this
Bench=280 Squat=390 Deadlift=455 I just wanna double them all lol nbd. Anyway follow along, it should be interesting. Here's my lifts for this week. Im going pretty conservative on deadlifts and squats since its been a while since ive done both religiously and last time I ran 5x5 I jumped weight too quick. Monday- Bench-ramped 135x5 165x5 195x5 215x5 235x5 squat-straight 315 5x5 Row-lower back was killing me bc I deadlifted saturday so I just did 5x5 with 135. I was supposed to work up to 240x5 I believe Hyperextensions Weighted decline sit ups Tuesday Military press-135 5x5 Deadlift 335 5x5 Squat-245 5x5 skipped out on chins 4 sets of 25 sit ups |

missed my lift friday unfortunately somethin came up. I was just going to do it saturday but I figured there is no reason to push everything a day forward when I can just do the monday lift and stay on task. Anyway ill be goin for 240x5 on monday which could be a pr, ik 245x5 will be. Squats are starting to get heavy for me again as well. Anyway know about upcoming competitions around ny/pa area.

Yesterdays lift-Was really tough for some reason, I got through everything but was just getting tired on the squats, seemed to take forever I wasnt really fatigued just tired lol I wanted to go home. Still moved around some really good weight though.
Bench 135x5 185x5 205x5 225x5 240x5-just barely got the last rep really looked like i was going to fail, so next week should be interesting. Squat 325 5x5 Row 135x5 175x5 205x5 225x5 240x5 hypers+situps |

This is fridays lift
Bench 215 5x5 squat 135x5 225x5 275x5 315x5 340x5 Row 185 5x5 Curls+pushdowns-just wanted to leave at this point So today should be interested going for 245x5 on bench which is definilty a pr. Also 330-335 for 5x5 will be a blast |

today kinda sucked but was ok at the same time. I lifted by myself, partners were busy. Which started the badness bc I was going for 245x5 on bench which is near a max for sure, I may have been able to get the fifth rep but didnt have a spot so I racked after the fourth. I def started too heavy on bench though bc there is tons of room for improvement onsquat and deadlift before i plateau. Also I got through squat fairly easy, it felt like I was just drained for some reason thought about quitting several times but made it through all five set. Anyway here's what happened.
Bench 135x5 175x5 205x5 225x5 245x4 Squat 330 5x5 Row 135x5 185x5 205x5 225x5 245x5 skipped weighted sit ups and hyperextensions, ill get my core work done at mma in about an hour. Last edited by Mfitts52; 08-31-2010 at 04:35 PM. |
