Fight predictions UFN on Sunday:
Bones Jones over Matyushenko While I think Matyushenko is a game opponent, I really see no reason as to why Bones doesn't win this one easily. I say TKO or KO in the 2nd or 3rd. Griffin over Gomi This one could get interesting. I give the edge to Griffin due to his wrestling and conditioning. As long as Gomi doesn't catch Griffin with a big shot, I see a UD for Griffin. Riddle over Demarques Johnson Ever since the TUF season he appeared on, I thought Riddle had some nice talent. I just think he's pretty well rounded and should win this one. I am not very confident on the last two, but I haven't been accurate as I usually am anyway here of late. I am not sure about the Munoz/Okami matchup, which could turn out to be Fight of the Night. Also, not sure about the Kelly/Volkmann fight, which should also turn out good.

He's the real deal.
As for my picks, I was honestly surprised at the Gomi KO. Very nice. I also called the Okami fight prior to the fight. I contemplated the matchup and my logic was that Okami's standup would be the deciding factor. Very good fight, and Munoz impressed me. If he can clean up his stand up a little, he will be a force. That dude has some power! On another note, Mir is an idiot. He was commentating on the analysis of the card and when commenting on Jones, he said the only thing holding him back is that he is not a household name and is not well known enough. WTF??? Everyone I know is hyping this kid to be the next p4p king!

In the post fight press conference he made it clear he's interested in fighting one of the top 3 guys in the light heavyweight division with exception to teammate Rashad Evans. He also mentioned he'd love to move up to heavyweight to shut James Toney's mouth. The thing I love about Jones is he's incredibly humble through all this hype that surrounds him. For being as young as he is he handles himself very maturely.

I don't think Sonnen will back up a single word he's saying, the more I hear he talk the more I want Silva to knock him out. It's one thing for him to attack Silva, but to insult guys like Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson is ridiculous. I more looking forward to the rematch between Finch and Alves, as well as the Dos Santos/ Nelson match which should be great.

He needs to figure out how to keep some gas in that tank. If he had reserves, he would have beat Lesnar. Props to Brock for doing what he does best and getting the take down and submission. As for this next matchup, I hope Sonnen backs up all the talk. I dont care for Silva, but ****, Sonnen got a serious mouth... LOL BIG COUNTRY vs. BROCK! I'd like to see it go down! |
