thanks guys...really appreciate it. i think the benefits of occlusion are vast...and the scientific community as a whole will begin to realize this more and more each year...a few studies that are coming out soon are just showing amazing results of occlusion...increasing aerobic capacity after 2 weeks in athletes...attenuating muscle/strength loss after 30 days of unloading...i for one am very excited

hmm this makes me think occlusion could be used as a taper between heavy lifting or added to a lifters program if have the time treating it like cardio

Andro,

how big, if any, do you think the carry over from occlusion walking is to running? Just had a thought that since I have to stay in semi good cardio shape for my army PT test, occlusion walking may be a replacement for running if I am on a bulk cycle..any input?

this new study in basketball players showed that after 2 week, those walking with occlusion increased VO2max...i think it might be something to add in to supplement your cardio, but perhaps not entirely make up your cardio. maybe have one HIIT day and one occluded cardio day...i think we're going to start seeing more and more treadmill studies, which i am a HUGE fan of...i believe occluded walking is the big future of occlusion...if we can increase muscle size/strength/cardio in one bout...that would do WONDERS for the elderly
