Well I have to say that today was the most insane leg day that I have ever done. Wow. Seriously. Did this instead of today's 5x5 to follow a friend's leg routine. I went with my buddy who is considerably stronger and more lean than I and he had me working. We first pre-exhausted out legs with 21's on calves for three sets. Then we supersetted leg curls with leg extensions. Then we moved onto squats. I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get many reps with the 135lbs I was squatting, if any at all. Holy crap, I did 18 reps. I then threw up, came back and did about 8 reps at 155lbs, threw up again, then did 5 reps at 195lbs. I didn't record the weight for the other lifts, but this was one hell of a leg day. Can't wait for next time! |

Yes, I'm indecisive. I decided against doing 5x5 right now as it was a bad time to start it. I'm going on a 6 day road trip soon and it's gonna be hard to find ways to keep it up. But in the mean time I've gone back to the normal 5 day split that I started with. I'm trying to keep my time between lifts rather short, somewhat 1:30-2 minutes. I get a heck of a burn by doing that as well. I haven't recorded anything lately, but I've been hitting the iron. It'll be back soon, though.
