I got some ridiculous news today, too...we should rant to eachother bout it lol.

well i successfully defended my thesis today and to be honest with you...it was exhausting...i literally feel like i ran a marathon...when i got to the gym i instantly new that my strength just wasn't there today but i made some noise anyway...below is a picture my friend took while i was waiting for all of my committee to get there...i might also add that i was very surprised that one of the girls i went to undergrad went...who just finished her masters at Baylor actually showed up to watch my defense...it was great to see her and i definitely appreciated her support

today was a pretty good day...took my little champion to his fitness class this morning then i headed to school and did some work...i've got a lot of work i'm trying to do before i leave for Baltimore next Tuesday...ill be in Baltimore from Tue-Sat for ACSM...i actually hope to train with some fellow Team Norton/Team ABC members...should be a really good time...tonight i'm going out for one of my friends birthdays...i won't be staying out too late tonight though...i want to put in a good 4-5 hours of data analysis tomorrow before UFC...so i will need to get at least some rest

went in and did some cardio...now it's time to break down some data before i head over to watch UFC tonight...just found out that Monday i'm going to St. Louis for the Cards game then Tuesday i'll be off to Baltimore

-20 minute intervals on elliptical (30s:30s)

today was a f'n disgrace...i was literally embarrassed with my performance...i realize you have days where you just don't have it...but it doesn't mean i have to be happy with it...i'm getting close to that meet so i'm going to be making the switch back over to Layneside...when in doubt, i follow the man with the plan...worked for me at the last meet and it WILL work at the next one...i'm absolutely disgusted with myself right now

Lucky man, I haven't been about to make it out to STL in a couple years, should be a good game tomorrow, we need to win this series and regain first place. How many Cards games do you usually attend a season?

honeslty, i hadn't been to 1 in over a decade until this past month when i went to 2

well i am back after a week in Baltimore for the National ACSM conference...and what a time it was...i got to spend a lot of time learning and even got to present some of my research, which was for the most part well received (of course a few people had some major issue with it, but that's to be expected)...on top of that i spent a lot of time with my former colleague Monica who i had missed tremendously...seeing everybody from U of I/OU was very awesome as well...even met a fellow member of Team Norton Ben Esgro (very large i might add))...here's what everyday looked like...woke up at 6:01 am (i'm a huge fan of odd numbers) went to breakfast, went to the conference all day, and then stayed out with friends on the town until 12-1am...then came back to the hotel and talked physiology about 1-2 more hours with Monica like the old days...just discussing ideas, talking science...i loved it...in a couple of weeks i'll be at ISSN
