Default newbie question

Hello to all. this is a great site. I really enjoy reading the informative posts.

for me i'm looking to reduce weight and add muscule. I need to get rid of the weight for health reasons; and if i can add muscule to the equation; i think we all win!

my profile:

male; 5'8; 225lbs; 36" waist; semi muscular body.

I'm a vegetarian (only eggs are eaten); so for protein; i drink soy fruit shakes. I make em my self; and don't add any sugar to the mix.

i eat a decent diet; but i think i gain or atleast keep this weight on because i'm a late nigt snacker. the problem: i can't eat a hearty meal for dinner--lack of protein.

i go to the gym and generally do 30 mins ellipitcal; and smattering of freewights.

please advice me a good workout regime and how to keep my self feeling full after eating dinner!

ready to hit the gym hard thanks for your help in advance.

Would you be willing to eat dairy products, or is that out of the question?

As a suggestion, and if you don't mind dairy, I would go with whey instead of the soy fruit shakes, and don't put fruit in it.

One of the mods will move this thread for you when they get the chance. It's no big deal, just hang tight. It's great that you asked the question, regardless of where you accidently put it. Welcome to ABC!!!!
