Default Fitday

Quick question! On fitday it can 'track' the calories you burn with your Basal rate and lifestyle, according your height, weight,age...I was wondering if anyone knows how accurate they really are.
Thank you

Bumpity bump bump...and to piggyback. Has anyone had any issues at all w/fitday? Accuracy of proteins, carbs, fats, etc....? I plan to use it since it appears to be a great tracking tool.

I use Fitday on a daily basis and love the program.

I havent noticed many errors with the calorie and macros, but I would suggest if you want to be really accurate, just make and entry for the foods you eat on a daily basis. Fitday will save the item and make it easily accessable.

You can check out my fitday in my journal in the link below in my Sig. Best of luck with the program, and dont hesitate to ask questions.

Act by choice, not by habit.

If there is no ememy within, the enemies outside can do no harm.

Fear, real fear shakes you to your foundation; it seeks to rot everything, even the words with which you speak of it. So you must fight hard to express it. You must fight hard to shine the words upon it. Because if you dont, if your fear becomes a wordless darkness that you avoid, or even forget, you open yourself to further attacks of fear because you never truly fought the opponent who defeated you. Thanks for responding, and I'm glad to hear that you like it. I plan to use it as a tracker and for meal planning.

My main complaint about fitday is that there isn't a spot for sugars, yet they list alcohol. Have one or both, but definitely have sugar!

I like fitday and have found it quite accurate and very easy to use. I was surprised at how high it calculated my calorie expenditure to be but it seems about right based on how much it takes to gain/maintain/lose weight.

What I find interesting is that the macronutrient info they give usually does not match up precisely with the info I see on the labels of the food I buy. While there is broad *general* agreement between the two, the difference is sometimes enough to confuse me when trying to do my PCF calculations for my diet. What I decided to do is go with my food labels when they are available, but for stuff like fresh produce, which doesn't carry a label, I use Fitday. Overall it's a great site and I'm not sure what I'd do without it.
