I just started week 3 of this workout...and I noticed that on chest the workout on ABC calls for
2 (count 'em 2) sets of 12, then 10, 8, and so on. Here: "lat dumbbell bench presses a bit higher rep range this time, ( 12, 10 and a bit more control on the movements. So one second up, one second peak contraction, 2 seconds to lower. You are doing the same pattern however. 2 sets 12, 10 and last set 8 with rest pause, then go to failure, strip and rest pause to failure, no superset this time." The spread sheet Fireproof created (very handy and well done, I must add!) only calls for 12,10,8 RP, etc.... HERE: ____x12; ____x10; ______x8RP+few to failure DS______xFailure Am I reading one or the other wrong? Has the workout been modified? Are there 2 sets of 12? Does this question make sense? Oh, I see what you mean. I read it as "2 sets with reps being 12, and 10, and last set of 8 with rest pauses...etc,etc.
The green words are my inserted words so you know how I read it. And my translation SEEMED to be consistent with the way they wrote some other things in various workouts. But I could be wrong. If Jacob or someone verifies what was intended, I'll update the spreadsheet accordingly. Option 1: set 1 = 12 set 2 = 12 set 3 = 10 set 4 = 8, r/p to failure set 5 = strip weight and r/p to failure Option 2 (currently in the spreadsheet): set 1 = 12 set 2 = 10 set 3 = 8, r/p to failure set 4 = strip weight and r/p to failure |

Well that makes sense! I get it now! Wording is a little crazy.
Thanks so much for clarifying it!!!! BTW...I know I keep saying this, but you have no idea what a life saver your spread sheets are! As you can tell from my post....I get confused easily!!! |

Heh - no problem. That's why I created them, because I was reading through the workout, getting confused, and couldn't imagine trying to refer to it in the gym. hehe.
