I was just going to forget this idea since it didn't seem too popular but *I* need this thread so - ignore me while I rant away :-) You are free to join me if you wish.
Today I promise to myself and to GOD - NO MORE junk food - not one bite Put EVERYTHING I have into my run tonight No cigarettes (don't ask!) - not one puff I will find a way to show my husband just how much he is needed Amy

They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. [26] So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I am not like a boxer who misses his punches. [27] I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. |

I promise to stop neglecting MY body because I'm so busy training others. This is a problem I never anticipated, but it's really hurting my own progress. I also promise to not be so hard on myself.

I promise not to eat sweets at the function at church tonight.
I promise to think positively of myself from the inside out.
