A fellow bodybuilder mentioned to me that she puts a scoop of protein in her coffee along with some
cream.....does the heat affect the protein? I am sure the cream slows the digestion, but I think this is "OK" as long as it is not a post workout protein source???? Right? |

Someone posted a similar question about a week ago, but got no responses. I would suggest to notify the mods (click on the third icon at the bottom of your post). I'm sure, one of them will come with a response.
Now, just in my opinion, what kind of cream is he using? Do you what to use it for a cut or a bulk? If it's for a cut, definitively get rid of the cream. If on a bulk get the fat free or skim type. The coffee will give you a spike to burn fat a little faster than normal, but the caffeine you can get in one cup is not a lot really. Good luck |

The temperature of (and the amount of time that the protein spends in) the coffee is not enough to seriously denature the protein.

I am bulking right now...so the technically the cream should be "ok", however, (you're gonna love
this!) It is the FF Coffemate Hazelnut kind!! Tastes so dang good with choc protein powder. I drink a 12oz cup in about 15-20 minutes...give or take a few. Thanks for the replies! |
