I was there for my husband last night. I did NOT go to bed when I got home. My girls both had LATE naps and were up late. BUT I did go to bed as soon as they did. I *LOVE* HGTV and I turned it off during a show. So, I kinda kept that one. I did not choose well at the restaunt, we got fast food instead. I ordered bad (I hate the grilled chicken from Wendy's) and ate half. I should have planned for fast food but I really thought we were going to a real restraunt.
Yu - Did you serve the Lord? Did you trust him to lead you down his intended path? Sage - Any carb binges? Bombflower - stick to your plan? Ice9? - Did you crush the defensive line? Kimbpatt - are you refreshed after hitting the hay at 9:30? Nightwarrior - did you find forgiveness? BTW - I don't like the word try. There is no try - only do or do not do. Amanda - any peanut butter left in that jar? Amy

For the most part. I didn't get meal 6 in, which was my last meal. I fell asleep too early (8pm!).
I got my workout in and I didn't cheat on my meals either, so I consider it a successful promise. I even resisted the yummie food my mom offered me - real mashed potatoes, roast, stuffing... mmm. It was hard! Real mashed poatatoes are my favorite. Especially my mom's!

No - I didn't binge on carbs last night and it was b/c of this promise! I had it in the back of my head that I wanted to keep it and I did!! Yeah! Thanks for the thread!

GOOD for you Sage! I swear this is silly but it works for me. I got lazy this morning and wanted to put my birds' wing trimming off (over an hour ride each way with 2 wee ones!). I knew I made the promise so now my birdies can come out and play again now that they cannot fly!
I'm glad this helped you, it does make you think twice about things Amy

Lord Jesus Christ, Let me seek you by desiring you, & let me desire you by seeking you; Let me find you by loving you, & love you in finding you. I confess, Lord, with thanksgiving, that you have made me in your image, so that I can remember you, think of you, & love you. But that image is so worn & blotted out by faults, & darkened by the smoke of sin, that it cannot do that for which it was made unless you renew & refashion it. Lord, I am not trying to make my way to your height, for my understanding is in no way equal to that, but I do desire to understand a little of your truth which my heart already believes & loves. I do not seek to understand so that I can believe, but I believe so that I may understand; and what is more, I believe that unless I do believe, I shall not understand. --St. Anselm (1033-1109) |
