In this month's article on "Was Hippocrates hardcore?", I spotted the Zane blitz. I am curious. It seems even more hardcore than the Austrian blitz. How would both of them differ?

Hey, Teletummy!
The Austrian Blitz is a 1.5-2 hour hardcore session where you bombard a body part with one exercise. The Zane Blitz is hitting every aspect of a muscle by utilizing numerous varieties of exercises. There will be a total of ten days that you train this muscle group. President Wilson gives an outline in the article: [ QUOTE ] 1. Choose specified body part 2. On Day One Train the muscle with a total of 25 sets 3. On Day Two Train the muscle with a total of 15 sets 4. On Day Three Train the muscle with a total of 10 sets 5. Rest On Day Four, you know the drill - Catch up with past issues of Hyperplasia Magazine 6. On Day Five Train the muscle with a total of 25 sets 7. On Day Six Train the muscle with a total of 4 sets 8. Rest Two Days 9. Repeat Seven Day Cycle Once More [/ QUOTE ]

Hi tuf! Yeah, I read it and it seems more intense than Austrian and I wondered if it could spur greater growth than the Austrian blitz. I suppose the Zane's more complete, ie. target a greater range of muscle groups cos of the range of motions. I was wondering about the DOMS too cos most of the time we're advised to train 1 body part once a week. I'm wondering if there's any repercussions as well while I'm keen to try it.

I am willing to bet you will be more sore.
The first session calls for 25 sets. If you've never done high volume, you're in for DOMS! I just did it for calves and it was great! After a few days the soreness isn't nearly as bad. The rest day comes just in time though!
