Default myostatin and serum response factor

Thought I would contribute a couple of references I thought relevant to the discussion. First, myostatin deficient mice had hypertrophy prior to satellite cells recruitment.
It seems to add credence to the the theory of satellite cells being required to keep the DNA/protein ratio within certain limits.

Also, it seems that SRF or serum response factor is involved in this.

Hope this helps!
