*To put it bluntly Hurricane Sandy f'ed the S out of NJ and NYC. I have never seen anything like it. Entire towns and neighborhoods have been destroyed through flooding, wind damage and fires. Millions of people are without electricity and heat. By the graces of God we managed to avoid serious damage and only lost power for about 9 hours. Houses a block away in one direction flooded and were destroyed. We live a few blocks from a major waterway in the other direction and the boats were wiped out and houses were wrecked. It is amazing gas tanks nearby did not blow up. Some of the power stations got hit and caused huge lightning type bolts. I think alot of people thought oh the storm is only a category 1 so it won't be that bad but it was the worse storm to ever hit here. Let's hope and pray the death toll does not rise.
