As you might know when cortisol gets out of control it shuts down testosterone production and eats away at hard earned muscle. Cortisol is a hormone that needs to be elevated for a long period of time to cause damage. There's been studies that showed the group the had the most hypertrophy also had the highest cortisol levels. If you're not an endurance athlete then I wouldn't worry about cortisol.
