It shouldn´t be. Of course it raises blood pressure during the exercise bout. But so does regular strength traning. Unless you´re suffering from heart disease you should be absolutely fine. If on the other hand you have a heart problem, you should avoid this type of training. In such case traditional, dynamic strength training might be more beneficial/less harmful.
