I do something similar on the seated lat pull-down. I put my legs up and row back. I'll have to try that out.

I have talked to Dzoni and Fahsy about that program quite a bit. I think it is solid; particularly for strength gains. I watched several of Fahsy's workouts live, and they are extremely hard-core. Its basically do or die each and every workout, so be prepared for some hard-core lifting.
I think giving it a try would be just fine. Then you might flow into an hypertrophy cycle after you are happy with your strength gains. I would talk to those two for more details while you do it.
