All I have is a handful of hammerstrength stuff and the rest is cables/freeweights. I don't even have a lateral raise machine for shoulders or a pullover machine at my gym, and I NEED a lateral raise machine!
HIT is excellent. Just wait till your progress stalls and you need to start manipulating the frequency principle (which is what i'm having to go through right now). You'll feel bad for a second but then you'll realize you're actually advancing, lol. When I hit a point when my strength gains are stalling, I see it as a good thing. It means i'm actually getting bigger, stronger, and more advanced. It means i'm moving forward. It's exactly as Mentzer said. Muscle damage, energy expenditure and intensity all increase higher and higher as you get bigger and stronger, so you require MORE rest.
