First post/ Neccessity of after workout meal???
Good Morning Gentlemen!!
I am glad to say that I am the first to female to post in "our" new forum!!!

I have a friend who trains very hard nearly every day. She is in the process of trying to drop some body fat and was told by her trainer to NOT eat following her evening workouts because that would speed up her weight loss efforts.
Now...i've always been one to consume some form of protein rich carb meal following my workout. Not high calorie..just something to replenish my stores. Plus i'm always starving after my workouts.
Beyond that, I think i've read that this is most beneficial in every magazine and heard it from every trainer on the planet!!!
Who's right? Can she infact lose muscle by not eating following her workout? (its the last thing she does each evening...so she's sleeping on an empty stomach)
