Physical therapy and bodybuilding
Hi everyone! I'm 29, recovering from a wrist injury and slowly getting back into shape after years of sitting in front of a computer screen. My goal is to eventually be able to support my body weight on my hands and get into acrobatics.
I've already tried searching the forums for tips on building tendon strength but I have to dig more. Any links or advice would be awesome! It's really limiting how much upper body I can workout.
First, welcome to ABC!
A few tips to remember:
1. Tendons don't have a good blood supply, so make sure you are adequately warmed up before lifting heavy
2. Muscles build strength faster than tendons, so be patient. There might be a weight that your muscles can handle but your tendons cannot, so be sure to keep the progressive overload at a slow pace.
