What ya shakin' there, boy?
Ok, I need some shake inspiration. I am sure y'all got some tasty recipes to share with caramelised bananas, cashew butter and wildflower honey (or somesuch). Please feel free to add them here.
1. Poor Man's Breakfast
This is a Saltie classic and I always have the ingredients available:
1/2 cup Quaker Oats (raw, unpowdered - powder them if you don't like to chew)
2 scoops My Protein Impact Whey (currently enjoying chocolate caramel)
500 ml nature's finest water (tap, mineral, whatever)
Throw them into your shaker and work out that right arm.
Calories 340, Carbs 30, Fat 6, Protein 44, Fibre 4 (www.myfitnesspal.com)
You can always beef this up by using 500ml of skimmed milk if you are feeling rich.
I wish I could add some inspiration. But I am very boring when it comes to food.
My periworkout shake consists of:
3 or 4 g creatine
5g cocoa powder for flavor
1/4 teaspoon salt
How does it taste? Sounds a little yukky...lol...you could add a little nut butter to that to beef it up and improve the flavour? I switched from dextrose to maltodextrin as it doesn't make my shakes sweeter (I find flavoured whey sweet enough), but I believe the GI is a little lower?
It actually tastes good, the dextrose makes it sweet (my whey is unflavored) and the cocoa makes it chocolatey.
Any reason you go for unflavoured whey? I noticed that My Protein chocolate flavour is 8% lower in protein content due to the added cocoa...just a good excuse to add in an extra 1/2 scoop!
I always just buy the cheapest whey protein I can find. If it is unflavored so be it, if it has some flavoring, that's fine too.
seeming tasty by the read of the recipe of the dish and how can i miss this one if it's coming to me for a good to health as well
