Desert Training
 
Well, my wrist surgery last year is over. It's been one of the longest years of my life not being able to train. I went from 190lbs last summer to 158lbs after my surgery/rehab. Now I'm 100% back and I have no wrist pain. I'm currently deployed and training hard. Here goes.

-Stats-
Current weight: unknown, ~165lbs
Goal: 200lbs
Squat Goal: 500lbs (by end of 6 months here)
--I think my squat hasn't been high enough due to weak hamstring, this will be a priority.

-Meals-
I can only eat 3 meals/day here and the only other thing I can have is supplements. I go for 50g protein and 100g carbs each meal. I can't measure it out I have to eyeball it by what they slap down on my plate. I'll be utitlizing BCAA's/whey between meals.

-Full Supplement List-
Whey protein
BCAA's
Fish Oils
Vitamin C
Multivitamin
Calcium
Creatine
HMB
Dextrose
Beta Alanine
Join support
Caffeine

-Training Style-
I train by feeling. High volume, very low rest periods, lots of supersets (2-4/set), pullups every workout. It's like circuit training with heavy weights and tons of supersets. :)

Legs 28/8/11

Warmup

Seated Leg Curls 15 reps
superset - Seated Leg Extension 10-15 reps
superset - Bodyweight Squats 15 reps

I did 5 sets of the above ascending in weight each set, the pump was great!

Leg Press, Feet Together, Heavy 430 x 8
Leg Press, Feet Together, Heavy 430 x 6

Leg Press, Feet Wide 390 x 8
Leg Press, Feet Wide 390 x 8

Seated Leg Curls 15 reps
superset - Seated Leg Extension 10-15 reps
superset - Bodyweight Squats 15 reps

I did 3 more sets of the above, I started 15lbs lighter on the first set and took 5lbs ofeach set. My legs were pumped up really well at this point in the workout. If you concentrate on the reps and don't throw the weight around it's great.

Hammer Strength Calf Machine, Giant Sets x 3
superset - Standing Calf Raises to 30 reps

I finished with 3 sets of the above, I used many different foot positions. Toes out, toes in, toes straight, etc.

This workout was great, my next leg day will include squats.

Current split:

Push, pull, legs, repeat. I have no scheduled rest days and abs are done w/ push typically. I haven't been doing cardio at the gym because I've been walking 3 or more miles each day in the 120F heat.

Yup. I'm already up 4lbs in 2.5 weeks :)

nice! I cant imagine that is too bad. My branch manager talked about a PCS to Arifjan after Recruiting Duty is over

AJ is nice! I was there a few weeks ago. It's not bad at all we're just waiting all the Iraq draw down troops.
