BEEN too long
Hey all,
I have not been on in a while (or really working out too much for that matter either!) I had a daughter a little over 8 months ago and if you have kids you all know that it takes a lot of time lol. Also, it seems that i have been having aches and pains in my back shoulder neck and all. I feel like an old man even though im only 24. Well I really need to get back in shape and all. I started working on eating less.. now onto better eating. My chiropractor gave me some bands to help with my shoulder and I wanted to start doing things with the bands (other than shoulder exercises.) Right now im about 5' 10" and hover between 210- 215. I still have an ok base. I used to work a lot I will post some pics later. Basically im working towards sliming down and getting/keeping in shape. I want to get to like 190ish. well enough rambling. well this morning I was 209.4/.6 like i said my scale is not the best.
Yesterday.... felt like and old person, but I walked one of the local malls with my daughter in the stroller for a little while.. so i got a little cardio, but didnt have time to work out. Better then Nothing |
glad to see you started a journal! I have 3 small kids, which forces me to workout early in the morning (530 or 6). Have you thought about giving early morning workouts a try? For me, if I dont do it first thing, before work...I never will. family time is paramount!

Thanks. Family is def important to me and I feel bless that I get to watch my little girl a couple days a week. I have thought about doing it in the morning. Ive been about the same weight the past 2 days. I was 209.8 after eating breakfast this morning. I did get to work out at work yesterday. I did about 15 minutes on the treadmill (walking) and did about 3 or 4 shoulder exercises with the bands. Also, I did some back exercises and a few bi and triceps ones with the bands. I know a couple years I would of never done things with bands and I used to lift kinda heavy. My chiropractor thinks I'm prone to ligament injuries.... so I am taking a different approach to this whole thing. I need to stay in shape for my family, health, and for my job. If anyone knows any good workouts or resources where i could use the bands for I would greatly appreciate it.
I ate pretty decent yesterday... besides the girl scout cookies that a troop dropped off at my station. They did a tour on the shift before mine and dropped off 37 boxes!!!! |
I'm in the army and I'm pretty sure we have developed a program that uses bands and bw exercises for troops in remote areas...try a google search, ill also look around and see if I can dig something up
