1. whats you main reason/ influence for working out

What is your favorite lift?

From a bodybuilding standpoint what bodypart(s) are you weakness?

How do you plan to overcome that weakness?

i was always into sports and athletics. i had/have a natural talent to pick up motor skills and development. though i was always skinny. just decided one day to lift some weights my brother had lying around in the garage. and i havent stopped since. the euphoria you can get from lifting makes it feel so good. watching my body change/adapt and keep getting better made me get more serious.

favourite lift by far is the deadlift. probably because i excel in it. not to mention its awesomeness!

id say my weakest would be my chest (strength wise). though theyre in proportion size wise, i feel that im not lifting as much as i should be. so ive switched up my routine and for chest have strength and hypertrophy days (concentrate more on strength)

though size wise, id have to say my calves are small compared to the rest of the body. i can push a fair amount of weight with em, so train em 2-3 times a week-ish, 2 hypertrophy and 1 strength.

seem to be getting some results with both aspects, so hopefully itll get up there.

tell us more about the garage gym?

what type of gym do you train at now?

bodyweight? Deadlift pr's?

Achillesreborn 10-14-2009 12:32 AM

When did you first start training? Who inspired you the most? What are you most proud of in terms of achievements in the gym?

the garage gym wasnt anything big. just a bench and a couple of bars. used to see my bro doing exercise so copied him.

i train at a private gym now. very old school hardcore gym. very motivational cuz everyone there is huge and actually quite intelligent.

im 169 cm, currently weigh 83.4kg and deadlifting around 220.

i think it was around 17ish years old. like i said, i have always been into athletics and sports and stuff. my brother always pushed me to go to the gym, but i couldnt be bothered. but curiosity got the better of me, and when i lifted the weights in the garage i never stopped. especially when i started doing my sports and exercise degree, the knowledge and understanding i starting getting made me want to go harder and harder.

hmm inspiration... for starting off and getting into it, id have to say my brother. for information, one of my tutors always would help me out (she was my knowledge base), whenever i needed it id call her up and ask her something and she'd be more then willing to advise me.
otherwise in the bodybuilding perspective, good old arnie. seeing pictures of him when he was 15, shows that i have a lot of catching up to do and something to work towards to (half of what he is)
