Re: Rangers Lead The Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i guess i will share some of the things i learned in the Army so far. lesson #1

the only real weapon is the mind all other things are an extensions of someones will. The mind is able to push beyond physical limits and accomplish more than any though possible given that the person have enough will power, dedication, determination and discipline to do so. The only real limit is ones imagination. Those of you who have seen on tv any of those shows which show how commandos train as well as the indoctrination that is done to new possible members which end up passing the schools (IE. BUDS, SF Q Course, Ranger School. SAS training etc..) no thing is impossible in life you best belive in your abilities and willing to sacrifice to attain that which you seek. The Ancient Greek phrase applys "It is not the best looking or the strongest of the fastest that recieve the reath in the olympic games it is those who compete that are given them"

Re: Rangers Lead The Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank heavens weekends we are off my legs are shot i can bearly walk or move for that matter. Monday back training is going to be hell. Unit going to ShugartGordan Urban Combat training area which is simulated to look something like gritty somalia. The 82nd Abn Div. is supposed to be there as well hopefully i will get to meet Major Mike Steel havent seen him since I left 82nd to go to Ranger school. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends, this phrase comes almost immediarly into mind thinking about What 1SFD-D operators Shugart and Gordan did willingly to save the members in Mike Durant's Chopper. ON the lighter note I get to fast rope in HOOAH.

Re: Rangers Lead The Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morining Pt

Since i am a weapon sergant i was selected to go over some weapons training with some of the boys such as defencive and offensive shooting, cover shooting, weapons specs and which is better for what situation. While Overseeing practice live fire shooting I overheard the LT. And Cpt. Talking i could have sworn one of them said Plus minor. the way the rating system goes is nothing said of marked means Satisfactory. Plus minor is like a good and plus major is excellent.

Latter on trained some back and traps

1) deadlifts 4 sets 135X20 275X10 405X8 450X6
2)lat pull downs 160x10 190x10 220x8
3)declined cable rows 120x10 150x10 190x10
3) T - Bar Rows 135x10 225x8 300x6
4) hyperextensions 4 weighted sets with 50 lbs for 15 reps ech set
5)dumbell pull overs 3 sets 65 lbs 10 reps
6) reverse peck deck (For Posterior shoulders) 4 sets 130lbs for 20 reps each set

At this point we back feels like a sledgehammer struck it at full force and a flame Thrower scorched it but must puch on some many depending on my strenght.

1) smith machine shrugs 3 sets 275x12 reps
2)cable shrugs 100x15reps 150x15 reps 225x10 reps
3) dumbell shrugs 3 sets 100 lbs x 10 reps

overall i had felt great had about 210 grams protein on 3500 calories slept like 6 hrs

tommorrow a new day and i have to go to war with myself again
