Stupid office location - HELP!!
 

My office is in the downstairs portion of the County Convention Center. Upstairs is a caterer's kitchen. Today, there is an event. I can smell the food being prepared up there. It's driving me insane!

Right now, I'm eating my "good for ya' homemade" chili hoping that I'll fool my brain into thinking that it's the yummy, buttery cornbread I smell. This is making it worse, because what goes better with chili than cornbread??? [img]/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

The smells don't usually bother me, but I'm fighting a cold and haven't been able to workout much this week and my will power and motivation are down.

Oh, you poor thing!! That is as bad as living next door to a bakery or something. Oh man, I do miss breads and pasta and other mean and nasty tastes.

If you get through today, you are a real hero (heroine).

That's tough !

You are a brave soul.

One of the girls I know who is cutting hard for a BB Comp works in a factory that makes fresh bread and oversize cookies (especially chocolate chippie).

The smell of it would have me on my knees for a crumb !

She has to do this, and then eat tuna!

Bless your heart! Ugh! That IS hard! When I lived in Texas my gym was right next door to this awesome Thai restaurant. So while everyone was working out, the smell of Thai food wafted in. It was brutal! So I can relate to what you're going through. Hang in there! You can do it! [img]/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

Thanks for the encouragement girls! I made it through the day without cheating!! I even passed up the very, very yummy chocolate chip-M&amp;M cookies in the sales office. But, man, did I want me some cornbread!

It's not even close to the "torture" you mention, but I think someone's got a sick sense of humor in my gym; most nights about half of the TV's are tuned to the Food Network. Why is it always a show about cookies or deserts when I'm there?!?
