Sissy Squats
Has anyone tried these??? I have read and re-read the description under the exercise tab...and
I just can't manage to nail the form. Any suggestions for a beginner? [img]/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Is he holding a plate? or it's just my blurry vision? I've been doing these just with bodyweight, it might be a good idea to add a few lbs..

It does look like he's holding a plate. I thought he was just hanging on for balance but it looks like he has a plate or something on his chest. I think this would be more advanced as these are supposed to be hard as it is.

yes, he is holding a plate on his chest with his left arm. "weighted sissy squats"

Looks like these could be hard on the ol'knees...any info in this regard?

I do them with a weight.

They are good for the legs and bum.

Don't know why they are called "sissy" though? !

I do 4 sets of 10 holding a 10kg weight.(I think that's around 22lbs)

I alternate each arm (which holds the weight) and keep going with no rest between sets, after doing leg presses.

Just got back from the gym.....WOW! I supersetted squats with sissy squats (ABC's Bulking Workout "Take
your mass to.....) I too used a 10lb plate...what quads were on fire and my butt got in
on the action too! Needless to say, I can barely walk, let alone sit down! KILLER WORKOUT!
I LOVED IT!!!!!!
