Your bouncing. Plain and simple. You work out too fast. SLow down your tempo. Thats the number one mistake made in the gym...

dude, don't ignore the pain and try to soldier through it. i did that with my shoulder and its gotten worse now. i gonna have to take a good month or two off to get it sorted. your bette off losing a week now than like a month down the line.

rapidly changing direction of the weight or literally bouncing it, like bouncing it off your during bench. You should slow it to a stop with your muscles not with your chest. The slower you change directions the easier movements are on your joints, for any exercise.

i dont bounce my bench, i actually wanna work my chest. i do cheat on barbell curls tho. other then that i dont change direction or anything. its just im doing heavier weight then what im use to and or more strenuous routines.

I would recommend a good joint complex like Animal Flex, I can feel the difference and as stated above fight the urge to bounce the bar. When you go heavy your tendons need to get used to it. It will come with time once your joints get used to the extra weight.

Some good posts. Sounds like some minor tendinitis (tennis elobow, etc). Give it some time to rest, but that doesn't mean you need to not go to the gym. In the past for me, elbow pain has been directly related to heavy tri work especially on the rope. I know that hits all the heads the hardest, but it is tough on that tendon. If your doing rope extensions try and not to lock out the elbows or substitute a different exercise for awhile. A lot of folks think that skull crushers can flare up tendons pretty good around the elbow. Moderate your workout to what feels comfortable and then as the healing commences you can work in things you've taken out.

Just some thoughts.

Supplements are good too for the joints too.

when i said your bouncing, i mean your using too much momentum to move the weight... Typically its done when people go down too fast. It's really hard to do on pulling exercises, in fact probably impossible, put on pushing movements, its done often. Go down slower is really all you need to do. You can go up fast as you want, just descend slower, and hold it at the top for a sec before you lower the weight, so that it doens't 'fall' down, instead of being lowered down...

Klosey, i didn't mean literally bouncing off your chest, i meant bouncing off your connective tissues... Like jerking the weight, know what i mean?
