First of all, I'd like you to keep in mind that I'm an athlete, and not a bodybuilder. So those ''Get Freaky Big NOW'' supplements I ain't gonna use that. I've recently looked up PWO and decided it was about time I got into that!
So this is my first attempt at it. Got any recommendations to make it better? Please share them with me!

Pre-Workout:
Creatine Ethyl-Ester

Post-Workout:
Whey Protein (35g Protein)
Maltodextrin (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/now/carbo.html) (35g)

Dextrose (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/now/dex.html) (35g)
BCAA (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sf/bcaa.html)

I'm not sure about the best balance of the nutrients in BCAA yet, but this is what the product I've linked has.

L-Leucine: 2300mg
L-Valine: 1920mg
L-Isoleucine: 780mg

Does that look good? Also, what vitamin would you recommend me using to take care of Anti-Oxidants and in what Dosages? I'm abit confused by that, and yes, I did read the article on here /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif I can't learn everything from my textbook(articles), I need a teacher to help me understand /forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Thanks a lot for any help!!!

that looks pretty good, you just need to add a decent multi vitamin(prefrably liquid if you can afford it) and 1 gm of vitamin c. how much of valine, leucine, and isoleucine does your whey contain?

Looks great. This calculator gives a run down of what you should have pw, http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/PostWorkoutCalculator.xls

Here are some suggestions.

1. Make sure you have a 92% water solution
2. Add .5 grams of sodium per liter of water consume
3. Add some glutamine (pre and post workout)
4. Definitely have your essential aminos pre-workout. This may be even more important for muscle growth, than having it post workout.
5. Chromium and a multi-anti-oxidant formula would also help post workout.

The quantity you have of these ingredients (I.e. how much protein, carbs, etc.) depends on your goals, LBM, the workout you do (i.e. legs vs. arms), ect. We give guidelines in our pw articles and that calculator.

Alright!

Pre-Workout:
Creatine Ethyl Ester
BCAA
Glutamine

Post-Workout:
Whey Protein
Maltodextrine
Dextrose
Multi-Vitamin
Glutamine

Should I take all my pre-workout all at the same time, 30 minutes before my workout, and then all that Post-Workout right after?
And also, theres one last thing I've been wondering. Should I just mix everything up and drink, or take them all seperatly? I'm sorry for all those questions, but I just wanna make sure i get it right! Thanks a lot guys!

How to Taper the Post Workout Shake

One important aspect we advise is spacing out the timing of the ingredients of your post-workout meal.

To better explain, here is a two phase outline of the post workout shake:

Phase one:

Immediately:

1. A combination of 50% of your carbohydrates coming from Dextrose and 50 % of your carbohydrates coming from Maltodextrin with the proper grams of whey protein, along with the appropriate amount of water and sodium.

2. Shake or blend all the ingredients well.

3. Dish out and consume your creatine. Consume one half of the shake, directly following your workout. Allow this solution to settle in your stomach for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Phase two:

10-15 minutes later:

1. Scoop out and consume 5-10 grams of L-Glutamine.

2. Ingest any anti oxidants with your shake at this time, along with Chromium.

3. Continue tapering your post-workout meal for the duration of the time remaining from the initial 45-60 minute period.

Summary

Part 1: Drink half the elixir over a five-minute time frame; allow settling of solution for 15 minutes. Total Time for Part 1= 20 minutes

Part 2: Taper the remaining solution for the allotted time. Total Time for Part 2= 40 minutes

Total Time for ingestion of post workout meal= 60 minutes.

Wow!! I'll have to read that Layman’s Version!!! I read the technical ones and missed out on some stuff cause I'm still new to all of this, so I can't quite understand all of it yet! I can't wait for my University courses (still 2 years to go!) so that I get to learn about this and actually understand everything I read!!! Thx a lot Gab!

So what is your major?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure yet. I live in the province of Quebec, Canada, so here I think Post-Highschool education is done a bit differently from the US.
After high school, I go to College, and take a 2 year pre-university Science Program. The first year is gonna be Math, Physics, Chem, and whatever else courses there are. Then, on my second year, I get to chose between "Pure and Applied Sciences" or "Health Sciences". Obviously, I'll be choosing Health Sciences. Once I graduate from those 2 years of College, I get to University where I start to study in my actual fields of interests.
I don't have a clue of why I just explained all of this /forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif!? Anyways, to answer your question, I don't know exactly what my Major is going to be yet. I'm still looking at all the different apportunities. But if you got any suggestions on what I could look up and get info about, feel free to share it!
