More complex questions about pure NO and the blends...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am completely confused about something....

I have been taking pure N.O. (MRI, and Nitrix AAKG) for all day muscle vascularity and notice that it is working for me. I also have a couple blended nitric oxide boosters that contain AAKG and small amounts of creatine, and of course, tons of caffeine.

If nitric oxide is primarily used for expanding the blood vessels, why do the blends (NO Xplode, superpump250) have so much caffeine in them which constricts bloodflow and narrows the veins? The ingredients contradict themselves. I dont understand it...

If I eliminate the caffeine from my preworkout will I have bigger veins in the gym? This is what I look for, I love the look of veins spawning from my biceps when I do curls, so should I continue with the blends that advertise increased bloodflow?

Thanks again.

You may a good point, bro.

Yeah, you probably will have a better pump. There are long term effects from caffeine, such as decreased glycogen replenishment, that also will decrease your vascularity.

Why include caffeine? Because people often don't have a clue why or what they are taking. I have heard a dozen people tell me in the gym they feel "wired" when taking NO EXPLODE. They have no idea that this is not the nitric oxide; but rather, the caffeine. But since it makes them feel so hyped, and gives them such a great workout, they stick with the product, thinking it is great.

I would also check out some recent posts in this forum on the supplement. It is pretty controversial.

are you saying caffeine is bad?
or that we should not be taking it?

How much caffeine is in NO xplode?

Must be a fairly substantial amount to make someone feel "wierd"

Controversial question. I can say that it works horrible for me. Benefits are that it should enhance lypolysis and fat oxidation; it should also enahnce performance through several mechanisms. But it also can decrease insulin sensitivity, impair glycogen resynthesis, decrease blood flow (check out this post, http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/forum/sho...ue#Post1174835), among other side effects such as addiction.

I don't really like it, but some people seem to have success with it. It may depend on your sport to: i.e. purely performance or a combination of performance and body comp (i.e. bodybuilding).
