I have also been wondering about NO2 intake... This was something new when I worked out before, or at least I had not heard much about it, but now the mags are full of Nitro ads.
What is the benefit of taking this. I did not see anything mentioned about it in The Window of Opportunity article. Is it just for increase blood to the muscles during workout? Is it just bloat with little benefit than to make muscles look bigger?

not many will support the use of these products as they are no good for your body

Well, indeed, it is mostly a cosmetic pump. But also from what I have read, is that due to the increased blood flow to the muscles, it increases the effectiveness of protein synthesis, and the amount of protein and or creatine that goes to your muscles.
Now, there are adds that say this, and there are people at the nutrition store who say this, but I havent seen any research articles on this. There may be some, I actually dont know. In theory though, it makes some sense.
I have used superpump before, it worked great, but the caffiene made me feel awfull so I took it back, oh not to mention I had to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes at the gym.
I am currently using Xpand, which is great because it has other things like creatine ethyl ester, MCTs, BCAAs, and lots of B6 which is great for using the proteinyou get from the after gym shake.
So, a temporary useless pump, yes, but a catalyst to protein synthesis with a combination of other good workout ingredients, most likely...

Nitrix is the BOMB! I've tried ISS Satur8 and it BLOWS BALLS!!!! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! Arginine (main ing. in NO2 products) was tested recently in a lab experiment with rats. It was supplemented to 2 groups of elderly rats, 1 group placebo of course. The group which took Arginine grew more hair back, regained youthful hair color, and improved in cardiovascular circulation. I think Nitrix is an awesome product, and definitley worth the $. Just make sure not to take it with glutamine (10g or less per/day), it cancels out the Arginine. I wouldnt even take glutamine while doing it. When buying any NO product, make sure L-Citrulline is in it, supposedly it "connects" the chain if nitric oxide to be released to full potential in your blood. The ISS Satur8 lacked this, could be why it sucked so bad. I cycle the Nitrix 40 days on, 40 off. I take about 4-5 before meals, 3 times a day. Start with 2 before meals to assess your tolerance. I try to be as conservative as possible with my supplements while still getting as much as possible and safely out of them.

$40 to look a little more vascular for 3 weeks? Save your money for some glutamine or whey instead.
