hey guys and gals,

I havent posted in awhile but still visit frequently.

Nutshell- I am a ripped ectomorph...every once in awhile I hit my abs really hard just to keep them firm, but I dont do them consistantly since they dont need much and save the caloriess. Anyway, I started doing 'anchors' for the obliques and really fell in love with the way it felt. Just 25-35 plates for reps of 20. But today i got home, made my shake, took off my shirt, Ahhhh I looked like an hour glass. The bottom of my obliques just above the hip bone looked huge, breaking my normally 11 frame. Should ectos stay away from anchors if not needed?

thanks

i'm just gonna throw this out there, but correct me if i'm wrong...

i would use a lighter weight for more reps, and also try not to worry about the initial pump when you get home from the gym because that will subside.

maybe don't weight train your obliques at all and just do body-weight exercises included in your ab routine that target the obliques a little.

Awesome

I'd also like to mention that it's important to train your core as it's very important to keep strong for lifts like deadlift and squat!
