CFD Written Exam Friday

Guys - wish me luck and pray for me to do well Friday. I have the Columbus Fire Department written exam and I must do well on it. Not just pass, but I gotta be way up there. There's over 4000 folks trying for about 100 spots. Given that I'm not a "minority", female veteran, I'm already behind by 15 or so points (I'm not complaining about that - it just means I gotta score that much higher). The top % gets to go on to the next round and that's my goal. One step at a time.

Good luck! It's an honorable thing you are trying to do. I have a lot of respect for firefighters and for people who try to become them. It's great stuff.

Getting ready to go. For some reason, I get really nervous and nausious -sp? before these. This one is particularily bad. I think maybe because I want this one so badly - this is where I grew up for all but 3 years of my life. I've done very well on the practice exams that I pulled from the library, but that hasn't helped my confidence much. Oh well. Here goes....
