If you want serious advice give the details that are necessary for people to critique your diet. Protein, carb, fat, calories...You should have these anyways. "Full breakfast fry"?! What in the world is that? Are we supposed to guess?

I will critique as best as I can with the little information that I have:

9.00 oats - Just oats? You need a protein source here, add whey.
10.30 full breakfast fry - Read what I said above. Either way this is probably not good. Protein source, complex carb and efa here.
1.00 beef potatoes and carrots - You need green veggies.
5.00 pwo shake - i assume this is whey, dextrose and maltodextrin, if it is then ok.
7.00 steak and potatoes - where are the green veggies and efa?
9.00 flax oil and vitamin - this is not a meal. You need to add a protein souce here, preferably cottage cheese.

-You are missing a pre-workout meal and a pre-bedtime meal.
-You're not eating ANY green veggies.
-your only efa is pre-bedtime so you are lacking.
-fiber intake is way too low.
-carlories are likely too low as well.

You've been here long enough to know where you can find the 13 week to hardcore fat burning workout, you should read that and fix your diet.

Isn't the whole point of this thread to criticise your diet? Read what was wrote and use it to improve your diet.

You sound like you're about 12 and can't take constructive criticism. You're obviously uncomfortable with your appearance, WE can help you. It's also quite obvious what you're doing is wrong, so let us help. We can help your diet to get that fat off of you, HOWEVER don't take it as a personal attack. If you can't take it, there are other message boards out there. I hope you take this well.

Did you honestly think you'd get a different response? You've been on this board for long enough to have read the articles, or had the opportunity to. You've certainly had the opportunity to at least read other peoples' journals.
The folks on here may not all be serious bodybuilders, but they do take bodybuilding seriously, and are making a serious attempt. A diet such as that does not lend credibility to your seriousness about getting into shape.
I myself a few months back was only half-a$$ing it. I asked for critiques on my workouts because I was kicking butt in the gym, but my diet was about as bad as yours. I knew what to expect if I posted it, so I kept it to myself and admitted that I was not eating clean enough to talk about my diet.
Now that I got serious, I am keeping a journal of my nutrition and exercise and I am getting feedback. I take it as constructive criticizm from people who's been there, done that, and it's working for me.
If you don't want an honest assessment and don't want to hear what people think, don't make a post about it.

ok so

9.00 wat i have is a bowl of oats low fat milk, whey shake with water

11.00 i used to have a breakfast fry this was ==2 fried eggs hash browns black pudding and 2 sausages (i stopped this after a while cos it was giving me bad pains in my stomach)so now its 2 small sliced turkey rolls low fat butter)

1.00 tends to be beef and mashed potatoes but im open to boiled potatoes or watever i shud be eating i also get cabbage from time to time on it.

that normally does me until i get home which is then sheperds pie which is mashed potatoe and minced meat and carrots and peas this is about 6-7 o clock by the time i eat this i normally snack on cashews in between .

i dunno if u can advise me on this but here it is much appreciated if u can .

hey man, im not gona lie to you, you gota put the effort in before you post your diet....we have no idea how much protein, fat, carbs and calories you are getting in a day.....you listed 4 meals in this "new" diet, you need to be eating at least six....cut out the milk in your diet, its too high in sugar on a cut....i dont know wat turkey rolls are, but you should be having some complex carb with them and efa exactly wat was already posted above and why are you eating butter?? beef is not the best choice if your trying to shed body fat, what about some salmon, chicken breast or lean ground turkey also skip the mashed potatoes and go with yams or sweet potato and efa if you dont eat the salmon...no preworkout or postworkout listed, no pre bed listed....skp the shepherds pie and eat chicken breast and vegetables....cottage cheese before bed with efa and veggie.....i mean im not trying to sound nasty but man thats awful, its almost insulting to every one that you would post that as your changed diet after everything they said to you in the above posts

Sounds like you still need to give up some of the foods you eat for pleasure and get serious about this if you really are.

Have you seen black pudding and hash browns in any of the articles Jacob has written? No.

I used to be fat in high school, so I know what's it's like. I used to come home, eat Hot Pockets, Cheetos, and Sprite/Dr. Pepper all day long. But then I started eating all the right foods (oats, egg whites, GLVs, EFAs, lean steak, chicken breast, sweet potatoes, etc.) and now I'm in my third year of college around 7% bodyfat. Come on, man. You can do this, I know you can! You KNOW what to eat!

A good pre-workout meal is oats and whey, let it digest before you lift (maybe 30-60 min give or take)

EFA stands for Essential Fatty Acid and its the best way to get your fat, Flax Oil, Fish Oil, etc.

Vegetables (especially green) are important for bodybuilders because they are super fibrous and slow digesting, plus they are loaded with vitamins/minerals, and various phytochemicals.

Instant flavoured oats are loaded with sugar. Buy only whole rolled oats whether bulking or cutting you don't need the sugars.

Requiem, gotta give ya credit for doing something by signing up for this forum and posting up your questions.

Most of my friends who talk the talk never walk the walk. They all either want to get huge, get cut, or lose weight. When I tell them what to do, they look me wide-eyed and surprised as if they had no idea the Chipotle burrito they'd been eating was unhealthy. The usual response is, "Ohhh, okay. I get it." Or, if they're really dumb and stubborn, they'll say, "Ok. But I eat really healthy, though." My point: most people don't get it. You obviously get it better than most people to be on this forum.

Have you read any of the articles? Look at the posts of other people's diets. Keep asking us questions. You won't get penalized for posting questions on this board. Post away and we'll help.

Most of all, take the advice you get and FOLLOW IT! My biggest mistake was being LAZY. Post your full diet, then take the corrections we make and go the market right after.

Also, there are great fat burning tips all over this site. Like taking 400mg of Green Tea Extract 30 minutes before cardio and working out. You can stack it with 200 mg of caffeine too (no more than 3 times a week, however).

Also, supplementing with chromium during PHASE II of your PWO shake. Check out Venom's journal. Check out other people's journals as well.

I think I am the person who offended you. I agree with this guy ^^ and that's why I said your inclusion of a fry up in you're diet whilst cutting was unbelievable. This site goes to gret pains to break down everything for you - you can't have read the appropriate articles and still really have believed that sausages, bacon and black pudding were part of a serious training regime.

If that genuinely offends you I am amazed. I thought I was being particuarly restrained and didn't post half of what I was thinking. I think you need to toughen up - both your resolve in regard to training and your sensitivity to criticism of a sub standard diet.

Uhmmmm ... well, Requeim, without a doubt you are welcome to post your diet for critique (and critiques should be welcomed by you as well), but take into account that you also need to learn from other's critiqued diets, you've been here for a while, I guess you should at least know that your min is six meals. So take a look at the diets here, at the critiques posted by the guys in other threads.

Sorry if I seem rude here, and I'd welcome a mod to edit my post here. But you are not taking bodybuilding seriously, if bodybuilding means to you just getting in shape without effort, many other boards and programs can give you that kind of mirage. But ABC gives you real bodybuilding if you are interested.

Only advice for your diet is: GET RID OF YOUR TASTE BUDS, FOOD IS NOT TO LIKE, YOU GOT MANY OTHER THINGS TO LIKE, BUT FOOD IS FOR RIGHT LIFESTYLE (OR WRONG, IF THATS WHAT YOU LIKE, AND YOU CAN DRINK ALCOHOL AS MUCH AS YOU WANT)

If you're getting in shape just for fun and girls and don't want to spend effort to it, some guys out there have got injections for ya.

Hope I summarized all I wanted to say, because I p***ed off to see a thread like this in ABC.
