I go grocery shopping, and I look at the ingredient list to make sure it's got what I want. Of course I look for 100% whole wheat. But I recently purchased some multigrain flour for some pancake makin, (to accomodate my George Foreman baby), but the ingredients list enriched wheat flour. Make a difference? Does it really improve the nutrition by adding beneficial vitamins?

While we're on the subject, why exactly is bleached flour bad??

Enriched Flour means bleached white flour.

Why do they have to be enriched? Well, they chemically remove all the good parts so that it is WHITE. They have to enrich it so that it has some nutrients in it.

The vitamins in it is really not sufficient for a bodybuilder so you still neet to supplement it.

Bleached flour is BAD because it is highly processed with chemicals so that it is WHITE in color.

Unbleached flour did not have that chemical process. It is processed flour though.

Yep, stay away from the word "enriched".
