I saw this

[ QUOTE ]
Q)There are 7 books found in the Catholic Bible not found in other Bibles. Why do we have these additional books in our Biblical Canon? May you have a blessed day! - Beata

A)The Protestant Bible is missing seven books. (Tibet, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, 1 & 2 Maccabees) Martin Luther changed the Bible. First, he took 7 books (Tobit, Judith,Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, 1&2 Maccabees) out of the Old Testament because they caused problems for his new theology. The Catholic Bible contains all the books of the Old Testament that Christ read from and therefore is correct.

then I did a few searches and found this

and this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Books_of_the_Bible

and so it looks like there are tons of books that may or may not be inspired.
It kinda sounds like martin luther got to decide what books were inspired and which books were not

and im also wondering if there are more inspired books that I could read in addition to the bible.

[ QUOTE ]
The 1611 KJAV separated these books and used the term Apocrypha in obedience to 2 Esdras 14:45c-48 the Highest spake, saying, The first that thou hast written publish openly, that the worthy and unworthy may read it: But keep the seventy last, that thou mayest deliver them only to such as be wise among the people: For in them is the spring of understanding, the fountain of wisdom, and the stream of knowledge. And I did so

Kokolo,

Those books, termed Apocrypha, were and are not in the Jewish Bible, the Tanakh or the Torah.

And it was not Martin Luther that decided to take out those books out of the canonical books.

I am not sure where the Catholic source got the information that it was in the Bible that Jesus read...but in the New Testament, there is not a single quote from the Apocryphal source cited by Jesus.

Apoc'rypha
Advanced Information

Apocrypha; hidden, spurious, the name given to certain ancient books which found a place in the LXX. and Latin Vulgate versions of the Old Testament, and were appended to all the great translations made from them in the sixteenth century, but which have no claim to be regarded as in any sense parts of the inspired Word.

* (1.) They are not once quoted by the New Testament writers, who frequently quote from the LXX. Our Lord and his apostles confirmed by their authority the ordinary Jewish canon, which was the same in all respects as we now have it.
* (2.) These books were written not in Hebrew but in Greek, and during the "period of silence," from the time of Malachi, after which oracles and direct revelations from God ceased till the Christian era.
* (3.) The contents of the books themselves show that they were no part of Scripture.

The Old Testament Apocrypha consists of fourteen books, the chief of which are the Books of the Maccabees (q.v.), the Books of Esdras, the Book of Wisdom, the Book of Baruch, the Book of Esther, Ecclesiasticus (Sirach), Tobit, Judith, etc.

The New Testament Apocrypha consists of a very extensive literature, which bears distinct evidences of its non-apostolic origin, and is unworthy of regard as being comparable in importance to the Bible.

Also Wilkpedia is not a reliable source for biblical information. You have to remember that there will always be those who try to debunk the bible, many of the authors of wilkpedia are among that crowd. I would not study that site for biblical information.

We tackle this topic here as well bro:
