Hi - I went shopping for some flax seed oil but they only had the actual seeds. Would these do the trick? If so, does anyone know approximately how many grams/spoonfuls would be equivilent to the recommended oil amount?
Thanks

They make a fairly good substitution, however, you need to make sure they are finely ground or else you wont digest them. They're also a good source of fiber.
However, i would simply add this to my menu versus substitute ground flax for the liquid.
Also, I know a lot of ppl who put ground flax on their oatmeal.

Every so often the natural food market will have them. They will be refridgerated. They sell for about $15 per bottle

Good source of protein and ligans that provide immune system support in addition to circulatory and structural benefits.

The seeds themselves are about 15% protein 35% carbs and 33% fat. Good source of fiber as well.
However, is it a GOOD source of protein? No, it is incomplete on its own. The only sources of complete proteins are all meat products with the exception of soy.

I´m wrong and Coz is right. Flax seed is a source of protein but not as good as animal and soy sources.
