Do you believe pets (animals) go to heaven when they die?

We've seen lots of posts recently in regards to the loss of our beloved pets. What are your thoughts?

As much as I love my pets and think of them as my children, I do not think that they will be in heaven when I arrive. I have always been taught that animals do not have souls and as such will not be in heaven. I would love to be corrected and to think that my wonderful pets that I loved growing up and cried over when they died would be waiting there for me to play ball and lay in my lap again. However, I cannot be dissappointed with anything that is in Heaven because even the least of things there is greater than anyone is capable of imagining!

im pretty sure they dont, but id like to belive they do, becaue they seem to be very important if they were put on the arc...we diddnt save insects!

Yep, they are going to heaven.

They have spirits, and will be in heaven.

Christian scholars Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, Dr. Andrew Linzey, St. Francis of Assisi, Dr. Albert Schweitzer the Jack Van Impe Ministries, the late Pope John Paul 11 and many many others, support the belief that animals have souls and a place in Heaven.

ROMANS 8:19-21 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
