I heard this story recently, and thought some of us would benefit from the point it has to make. We all sure struggle with who is in control of our lives and our world. Maybe it's time for some of us weary souls to take our place in the passenger seat. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dr. George McCausland, director of a YMCA, had a multitude of organizational difficulties. George worked 85 hours a week only to go home each night and toss and turn in bed. He was in a state of constant anxiety. Finally, he consulted a counselor who said, "George, you're close to a nervous breakdown here, buddy. You have to allow God into your problems or you're done." So George took a day off. He took a pad of paper and a pencil and went for a walk. Sitting under a tree he wrote God a letter, very brief but to the point. "Dear God, I hereby resign as Executive Director and General Manager of the Universe. Love, George." With a twinkle in his eye he said, "And wonder of wonders, God accepted my resignation."
