Im 20, ive led a very athletic life but now im out of school, joined into the workforce, and in the worst shape of my life.

Currently im 5'10 186lbs

At my best weight i had a 7.4% BF and i was at 195. I had a bench of 265(290 1 rep max), squat of 575(1 rep max). This was at the age of 18, i was a inside linebacker for my football team and at the time i was probably in the top 3 for best in shape on my team of 55 players. I had a 40 time of 4.45. This was about 2 years ago.

I dont have my BF% now but if i were to estimate i would say at least 15%. I havent lifted or trained in about 15 months.

Now, my problem is getting back into it. I cant seem to get myself to take that first step, or i not sure how to take the first step. I think that running is my biggest problem, ive always hated it.. even when i was in my peak form. Ive tried to adjust my eating habits, i think eating past 8-9pm is my biggest problem.

Im at a loss, not sure where to start. Thanks for any advice guys.

For advice, that totally depends on what your goals are.....

Before i list my goals ill list my schedual which isnt great... BUT its consistent.

Every day i leave for work at 9am, im off on wednesdays and sundays, and the days i work i get home at 10pm at night. Im a chef, which is great because im one of the owners of the business so i have an incredible FREE access to food.

So i was thinking of getting up at 7:30am and doing my workouts in the morning, and then do you think it would be a bad idea doing my workouts at 12:00pm-1:00pm on my days off? Anyway, thats my sched.

Goals: A LEAN 180lbs, with a BF% of 10% or lower. I know right now i have at least 20lbs of fat that i can shed. I would rather get into good shape, rather than be on a bulk, i do NOT need to bulk(at least at this time) for i still have some of my size. So i want to lose weight while toning and shaping my muscles.

btw: Ive been a reader of abc for years, i just finally decided i need a change of lifestyle.

Cool, so you want to cut...

Since you've been reading on ABC for a while, you might have read these, but this is what I would do:
