dont know if this is the write fourm to post this in but if it aint ya can just move it /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
its my shoulders! mosty every thing i do i get pain in them.
yesterday when i was doing my triceps/biceps i could hardly do barrbell curls cuz of the pain. and any curling movement hurt.
i get the pain sometimes when doing back, but funny thing is i dont really get sore doing my chest just a little pain.
its mostly my left shoulder that gets it, i get a sharp burning type thing in my delt. even when i fix my hair in the morning it gets sore.
so what ya think i should do. should i lay off from doing any direct shoulder workouts for a week or so. or should i go really light for a week or so.
it really pisses me off cuz i havnt been able to train my arms heavy for the past 2 weeks /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Kyle:
Maybe this goes on the injury analysis forum?
Is it the shoulder itself or could it be a nerve?

Can you pinpoint the exact location of the pain?
Also, try to perform internal/external rotation (cuban rotation and other rotator cuff exercises), do you get any pain sensations?
One more thing, does it hurt to curl or do whatever movement triggers the pain without weight?

its in my front delt. whenever i do curls its a pain yes. but when im doing everyday things like fixing my hair or brushing my teeth the muscle gets this burning feeling and it starts to get very weak.

Kyle the shoulders are a complex and fragile part of the human anatomy. I have suffered my share of sprains, and minor tears, and I think you have sprained your front delt, you should rest and get a heat spray and take some pain killers. But you know what, everytime I did. It was becuase I neglected to warm up the area properly.
Now I never train any bodypart without doing a set of 20 reps of standing dumbell presses with a pair of light 7kg chromes. And a set of front raises and reverse flies. Since adopting this prectice I have never suffered a single injury in the area. Get blood into your shoulders and it will help prevent injury. Another thing you should do is make sure you take plenty of fish oils and I would recommend you take glucosamine sulphate. This supplement, helps keep you joints supple and flexible.
I have been taking it along with fish oils for over a year now. And my joints have never felt better. And at my age I can do with all the help I can get. So I hope this will be of some help to you. But major number 1. Warm up the shoulders thoroughly before doing ANYTHING! Peace...

Does it happen after training? Sometimes muscles that don't get used often are more noticably sore after targeting them in a workout.
