Hello all:

I've recently started bulking up again. I took the summer off (which was the worst decision I've ever made) and I started up around one week ago. I started with 2 days of circuit.

I recently started this workout
http://abcbodybuilding.com/bulking%20to%20the%20next%20levlel.php

I just did the first back/bi workout, and I was fine during the day. I mean I did a little extra than the workout called for, to push myself to failure. But when I woke up today, I was stiff as a rock.

I've come back from not working out before, and it's never been anything like this. It hurts to extend my elbows and move my arms back behind my neck. I didn't stretch before I worked out.

Was I overtraining, or did I make some other mistake, like not doing enough circuit before starting my routine, or not stretching... Thanks for the replies.

Overtraining isn't something you can do in one workout. Its a condition built up over time. Do some active recovery for your back and you will be fine.
