First, the short story. Used to be an athlete, didn't realize I quit burning so many calories and college ended, grew to 300 very fat pounds (5' 11"). Sat around fat for a while, lost the first 50 without working out. The pictures are the second 50, which are obviously with working out, adding muscle. I'm back up a couple pounds now, due to getting back on creatine, and concentrating more on building muscle. Well, that, and I'm sick of cutting.
Here's some more pics: http://home.indy.rr.com/thestreetman
The last pic is me in a silly low carb phase. I look a little fuller now, but still have a little belly. 11.3% BF, which is always checked in a Bod Pod for accuracy. I trust no calipers.
So what am I doing now? I dunno. I need to cut further, but winter is coming soon. Why not bulk up some? I might get on stage next year, not sure. I'd do it to give me discipline. I need some. I have a tendency to slack every now and again. Aside from that though, I really don't find the idea of bodybuilding real exciting. Interesting, for sure. Something is telling me I might enjoy it, but something is stopping me from being all gung ho on it.
What say you? I've got giant legs and calves, which seem to be most people's sticking points. The V is coming in better and better too. I need to really add some size to the chest and shoulders to even things out, for sure. Maybe I don't think I can pull it off?
Anyhow, that's where I'm at. I suppose I should also let everyone know that I'm very into everything natural. Kinda hippie. I still do some supps, but would like to get the diet cleaner and cleaner. And I'd never even compete in a show that wasn't tested. What's the point?
Glad to meet you all. I hope to learn some, and contribute more. I'm smarter than the average bear, and plan on continuing the education. Might even get certified so I've got some alphabet soup to throw behind my name on a business card. Oh yeah, I'm going to be starting a weight loss/fitness/wellness business. Not sure exactly what angle I'll hit. Can you tell?
