Yesterday was legs day and the workout was great. I didn't go too heavy on the squats, did around 10 sets with strict form, nothing out of the ordinary. Plus an additional 20 sets of various leg routines.

About an hour after, I felt a pinch in my lower back; it seemed like it was radiating from my right hip. I put an Icy-Hot patch on it and was able to sleep thru the night.

This morning I get up and the pain is much worse. I feel it in both my lower right hip and the lower back (mainly stiffness in the lower back). Can't turn, can't bend, can't sit, can't do anything else pretty much.

I'm definitely going to see my doctor today but what do you guys think? Any advice? The only thing I could think of is a pinched nerve as I recall the cage I was doing squats in was directly under a fan and cold air was hitting my back.

I'm afraid I'm going to be sidelined for a while and it stinks. I was on a roll for while there, making progress in almost every major muscle group (especially my BP which was in a rut for quite some time). I can't believe this, my first serious injury in 5 years (since I started working out).

Heh, 'Once upon a time'...

I had an injury when I was younger. Pretty sure it was a result of poor squatting techinique, but it was BAD. An excruciating pain in my lower (right-side) back.

The next day, I could literally barely get out of bed to use the restroom.

Good news though: It cleared up in under a week, with only about 2 visits to the chiropractor.

I would suggest seeing a doctor, taking it easy, using some ice and compression. Don't use heat unless your doctor says to. There are certain types of injury you don't want to heat up. (if I'm not mistaken.)

I agree with gezymallaj , see your Doc for some muscle relaxers (Soma, Good) then see your chiropractor. You'll be good as new in no time.
Also I used to be a proponent of a$$ to the grass squating, (don't know if you were doing it or not) but after messing up my back, I went back to "normal" range squats and haven't had aproblem with my back since.
Get well soon.
