About 2 yrs ago I could really max out during seated calf raises but recently I cant increase the weight past 132lbs (max being 308lbs) without getting an intense crushing pain above my knee caps. I feel this is really slowly my progress with regards to my calves. Any suggestions to how this can be solved would be kindly appreciated. /forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif
How do you feel during you leg-exercises? (Leg extensions and squats).
The pad from seated-calfraises machine is probably pressing too hard on some anatomical structures (where do you place it?)

I rarely squat. Just do loads of leg presses and extensions with lunges. My knee area kills me most of the time but I try to do my best.
I tried different positions, middle of thigh and midway between midway and knee-cap. I just have to shock my calves using under 132lbs when doing seated calf raises. Other exercises are spot-on.
