If you live in the US, I suggest looking through the ABCbodybuilding.com Store (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/championsups.php) Here you will find most of the essential supplements for bodybuilding. I recommend purchasing their "Pure Whey," Glutamine, and Creatine to start out.
To learn more about these supplements look here:
Creatine Sticky (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1098556&an=0&page=0#1098556)
Glutamine (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/glutamine.php)
In Short, these supplements will HELP YOU get HUGE! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Now, there is this think called a Post-Workout Shake that is ABSOLUTELY the most essential thing in Bodybuilding. It's what determines whether your body will build up the muscles you just worked out or just leave them the same. To learn more about the Post-Workout Shake(which is just a protein shake you take immediately after you workout) read this:
The Window of Opportunity (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/windowofopportunity.php)
In short, you need to make a shake post workout that contains Whey protein(fast digesting protein which gets into your system and to the muscles quickly) sodium(table salt) and Maltodextrin and Dextrose(these are, really, simple carbs that help raise your insulin post workout which helps get the protein to where its needed most) They are pretty much sugars. These are ALL essential, and the article I posted will go over it even more.
At this point, ABC is not selling Dextrose and Maltodextrin, so you can get Top quality whey here, but you will either have to buy Dextrosse and Maltodextrin from a store nearby or you can try online. I will give you an example of a place, but you dont have to buy ut there:
Dextrose (http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=510)
Maltodextrin (http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=881)
Now onto training! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif
You said you've been training for a while now, which is good. In bodybuilding you can cut(lose fat) or bulk(mainly building muscle with a slight addition of fat) Now, considering your age, I would tell you to BULK because you have RAGING HOREMONES and you can build muscle very easily! /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Here is a program that I liked a lot when I was beginning to workout:
24 Workout Mass Blitz (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/bulking%20to%20the%20next%20levlel.php)
It's so good, I even use it from time to time to break free from a normal split.
Tell me what you think of that program. The BIGGEST idea of building muscle is going to FAILURE. Which is lifting to a point where the muscle you are working on, in a sense, just fails and you can't lift that weight anymore. I find, and this is what I did, that people just getting into bodybuilding dont want to go to failure because its HARD. And thats so TRUE! Going to failure is deffinitely a test. But it's worth it because you will see the greatest growth if you do!
So look over the program I gave you and tell me what you think. We can go more advanced if you want to.
What is your training split? By that I mean, how ofter do you train now and what muscles do you train on what day?
Also, a BIG thing with bodybuilding and getting HUGE is diet! You have to eat pretty healthy to bulk up( there IS this thing called a "Dirty Bulk" where you eat whatever you want and a lot of it, but that can cause a lot of fat build up, obviously) So make sure you keep the diet clean with a lot of Protein. 1-1.5 grams PER lb. of how much you weigh is the min. recommendation for getting bigger. I also recommend posting your diet in the nutrition section so we all can look through it.
I'm happy you are here!! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
And I wish you luck. Doing all this stuff and doing it correctly will mean that you will be HUGE, my friend!
